Overview

SDS Server™ is the official runtime environment designed to execute SDS™ (Simple DataSet Service) commands inside Scratch-based projects. The server handles dataset storage, command dispatching, and variable routing while maintaining a minimal single-sprite footprint.

What SDS Server™ Does

Loads and stores MAIN dataset structures
Executes SDS™ instructions in order
Routes values between SDS variables and Scratch variables
Maintains stable, deterministic runtime behavior
Provides a unified data backend for Scratch projects

What SDS Server™ Does Not Do

The SDS Server™ runtime does not define the SDS™ language itself. All commands such as SELECT, GET, ADD, and SEND TO are part of the SDS™ 2025.1 Language Specification, not the server.
